Welcome to the Michigan Maritime Museum Website

The Michigan Maritime Museum

If you thought you saw a Pirate Ship on the Black River in South Haven this past weekend, your eyes weren't deceiving you. A lusty ban of feisty young pirates under the command of the scroundrel Capt. Tom "One-eyed" Kastle seized the tall ship Friends Good Will from its mooring at the Michigan Maritime Museum. The ship's colors came down and the Jolly Roger was raised as the vessel took to the Black River in search of treasure and adventure.

The next pirate adventure is scheduled for Friday August 17th and Saturday August 18th. Activities will start on the Museum grounds at 10:00 a.m. Each of the young pirates will receive their own pirate kit and Capt. Tom will lead the charge and orchestrate the boarding. While on board the pirates will be treated to more goodies from a special pirate chest and participate in planned pirate adventures.
(The ship will sail to the end of the pier and back and will not be venturing into the lake for this special cruise.)

Special prices for the shore events and cruise are $20 per pirate (Ages 3-12) and $10 for accompanying adults.
