McClendon Small Craft Barn

The Museum’s collection includes several historical boats and small craft, some dating back to the 1800s. In this exhibit, explore the collection of these unique and historic boats and learn about the history of small craft in Michigan and the Great Lakes. This exhibit will also include several of the antique outboard boat motors in the Museum’s collection. This exhibit is housed in one of the historic commercial fishing buildings on the Museum campus. This building is part of the historic Jensen property and dates to the 1950s, making the building itself a unique artifact and reminder of the vibrant maritime history and heritage of the South Haven waterfront.
